Knowledge is critical for personal and organisational development and creates the potential for competitive advantage. In order to realise this, however, a knowledge development programme must be conceived and executed in a way which is aligned to the needs of the individual and the organisation.

Importantly, 2KNOW aims to assist individuals and organisations to manage the learning process and establish a rational approach to the acquisition of knowledge which is aligned with company objectives, thereby improving value from the investment. It is worth noting that a recent survey from Cambridge University found that UK companies waste up to 20% of their training budget.
Hector established 2KNOW in 2005 as a natural development in a varied and successful career which began in the Civil Service and moved through professional accountancy, business, consultancy, and most notably in higher education as an Associate Dean at the Robert Gordon University (RGU).
During his time at RGU as Head of Aberdeen Business School he was responsible for leading the School through a period of major change and achievement which included the design and delivery of management development programmes for clients such as, British Airways, National Air Traffic Services, the Abbey National Bank and attaining AMBA Accreditation for the MBA Programme.
A fundamental principle underlying his success is his passion for working with and developing people and his belief that access to knowledge empowers the individual. This belief led him to establish 2KNOW through which he aims to provide innovative ways of acquiring knowledge for individuals and organisations.
He believes that knowledge is shared most successfully in an environment which is relaxed and fun, where the information is demonstrably relevant, up-to-date, professionally presented and the objective is always in clear sight. He has a reputation as a sensitive, enthusiastic, well-informed and inspirational teacher and his vision is to bring all of these values and attributes to 2KNOW.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants an MBA graduate and maintains his association with Aberdeen Business School as an Honorary Professor.
As a result of his years in business and tertiary education Hector has established relationships with individuals with a wealth of skills, expertise and experience in all business disciplines. These include Human Resources, Information and Communications Technology, Strategic Development, Change Management and Business Operations and will be accessed for the benefit of 2KNOW clients.
